Vice President of Talent Acquisition- East Coast
Summary:
The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will lead the talent attraction strategy for the North American region and will ensure that the region has a strong brand. This individual will contribute to the success of the company by sourcing, attracting, and recruiting a highly- talented and diverse workforce to meet current and future business needs. This person will align the company’s talent acquisition strategy and resources with the company’s business growth goals, while attracting and developing talent acquisition team members who can enthusiastically execute and support the strategy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilites:
- Develop and execute a national talent acquisition strategy that includes creating comprehensive, high-volume and high-quality sourcing and recruiting processes, establishing best practices, and policies, and the oversight of projects designed to meet changing business needs and maximize return on staffing investment.
- Develop, manage and inspire a high performing virtual team of leaders and recruiters who are talent advisors to our business partners.
- Develop strategies to build and enhance our global employer brand to bolster the company’s visibility as a top employer in the talent market place.
- Responsible for development and management of department budget, monthly tracking and quarterly forecasting.
- Develop and lead a performance culture that focuses on continuous improvement and innovation through benchmarking, and measuring performance towards established metrics as indicators of success.
- Stay abreast of recruiting innovations and technology to ensure that recruitment, selection, on-boarding, sourcing and pre-screening technologies supports the company’s competitiveness in the market for top talent, is in compliance with policy and initiatives, and meets all Federal and State legal requirements.
- Establish relationships and partners with key business and HR leaders to understand their talent and succession needs, develop strategies to meet these needs, and drive accountability in recruiting and selection.
- Work with HR and business leaders to drive workforce planning approaches to anticipate and support longer term business growth.
- Develop and execute best-in-class practices for end-to-end candidate experience inclusive of sourcing, screening, interviewing, communication, selection and onboarding.
- Stay abreast of new trends in the industry and marketplace and maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends, related analytics, and labor laws that have short and long-term implications on the profitability of the business and its recruiting efforts.
- Ensure relevant processes and tools to report and measure key talent acquisition success metrics, regularly communicate the effectiveness and efficiency of the talent acquisition function to executives and hiring managers.
- Implement, monitor and maintain compliance standards at federal, state and local level.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required; advance degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of leadership and management experience (including time managing a HR/Talent Acquisition function)
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead and manage high-performing teams in a fast-paced and changing business and technological environment
- Deep understanding of the critical role that talent plays in advancing business strategies and results, with the proven ability to build strong business partnerships across the organization to drive the successful acquisition and retention of a highly talented and diverse workforce
- Demonstrated experience designing, creating and leading a successful Talent Acquisition function within a large, multinational corporation is strongly desired
