Overview – What is a Practice Area?
Very simply, Practice Areas are those functions, markets or industries where we have developed deep expertise, extensive networks and demonstrated superior performance across the divisions within our organization. It means that we have expertise in recruiting for this area at all levels of an organization – professional, management and executive. Some may call it being Subject Matter Experts, we call it a Practice Area.
Given our business model is client-driven, unlike most search firms, we assign our resources and tools around our clients’ needs. We have the internal expertise to draw upon while still maintaining one main point of contact for our clients. The majority of our business comes from clients we have developed deep relationships with and those they refer to us. We feel that’s due, in part, to our ability to focus and develop our internal talent around Practice Areas. It gives us a depth and an ability to outperform our competitors.
While someone in our organization made lead a Practice area typically their clients and scope of work go beyond that specific area. Generally they are combining their expertise with other in the organization and leading people, resources, tools, etc.
