SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Operating Group President, the VP SCM is responsible for the global supply chain strategy as well as carrying out the day-to-day functions and business associated with sourcing, purchasing, and supply of goods for a $2+ Billion business. The role is responsible for more than $1 Billion spend and a supply chain organization of 300+ employees. The VP develops and implements the plans, with a focus on people, organization, process and information technology. Responsible for driving lean throughout the supply chain. Evaluates outsourcing vs. in house manufacture decisions.

SCOPE:

Leads the complete material control process including procurement, production/inventory control, and transportation logistics.  Interacts with all levels of management within operations, engineering, quality control, marketing and finance. Coordinates best practices with other Supply Chain Leaders and the Corporate VP of Supply Chain. Develops key supplier and key customer relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MBA or advanced degree required
• Certification in supply chain management preferred
• Minimum 10 – 15 years managerial experience in supply chain management preferred
• Up to 50% travel required
